Sheet Configuration is where you connect all the pieces needed to generate documents.
Each Google Sheets™ sheet can have its own configuration, allowing you to use different templates, mappings, and output settings within the same spreadsheet.
The Sheet Configuration stores:
The source sheet used for document generation
The selected Google Docs™ template
Merge Mappings
Output Configuration
The output folder for generated documents
When you reopen the add-on or switch between sheets, AnyMerge Docs automatically restores the saved configuration for the selected sheet.
This makes it easy to maintain multiple document generation workflows. For example, one sheet can generate membership confirmations, while another can generate certificates, agreements, or invoices.
The individual settings are explained in more detail throughout this documentation and in the User Interface section.
In most cases, the process looks like this:
Select a template → Configure Merge Mappings → Configure Output Configuration → Click GENERATE
Once configured, you can continue generating documents without having to repeat the setup each time.
Sheet Configuration serves as the control center for your document generation workflow, bringing together everything needed to transform spreadsheet data into personalized Google Docs™ documents.
