This error appears when AnyMerge Docs finds a merge tag in the template that has not been mapped to a source column or Dynamic Value.
Every merge tag in the template must have a corresponding Merge Mapping before documents can be generated.
Choose one of the following options:
Open Sheet Configuration.
Click Open next to Merge Mappings.
Select the merge tag mentioned in the error message.
Choose a source column or Dynamic Value.
Save the Merge Mappings.
Run the merge again.
If you no longer need the merge tag:
Open the template.
Remove the merge tag from the document.
Save the template.
Run the merge again.
If the merge tag was previously mapped, the source column may have been deleted from the sheet.
Restore the deleted header column.
Open Merge Mappings.
Reconfigure the mapping if necessary.
Save the changes.
Run the merge again.
This error usually occurs when:
A new merge tag was added to the template.
Merge Mappings have not been configured yet.
A previously mapped source column was deleted from the sheet.
Note: Renaming or reordering header columns does not break existing mappings. AnyMerge Docs tracks mappings using internal column identifiers. Only deleting a source column removes the mapping.
