Sheet Mismatch

This error appears when the sheet currently selected in Google Sheets™ does not match the source sheet configured in AnyMerge Docs.

AnyMerge Docs only generates documents from the active sheet that matches the configured source sheet. This helps prevent accidental processing of data from the wrong sheet.

How to Fix It

Choose one of the following options:

Option 1: Process the Active Sheet

If you want to generate documents from the sheet currently open in Google Sheets™:

1. Open Sheet Configuration.

2. Click Switch to Active Sheet.

3. Verify or update the configuration for the new sheet.

4. Click GENERATE again.

Option 2: Process the Configured Source Sheet

If you want to continue using the existing configuration:

1. Switch back to the configured source sheet in Google Sheets™.

2. Click GENERATE.

Once document generation starts and the GENERATE button changes to CANCEL, you can switch to other sheets and continue working without interrupting the running job.

Why This Happens

This error usually occurs when:

• You accidentally switched to another sheet before clicking GENERATE.

• You're working with multiple sheets that each have their own configuration.

• The active sheet was changed after the source sheet had already been configured.

Important

Each sheet has its own independent AnyMerge Docs configuration, including:

• Template

• Merge Mappings

• Output Configuration

• Output Folder

Switching the source sheet does not copy the configuration from another sheet.

Tip

If you regularly generate documents from multiple sheets, configure each sheet once and use Switch to Active Sheet whenever you want to work with a different dataset.
