The Link merge type inserts values from your Google Sheets™ spreadsheet as clickable hyperlinks in the generated document.
This merge type is useful for websites, customer portals, invoices, product pages, support articles, and any other scenario where you want readers to open an external resource directly from the document.
When enabled, AnyMerge Docs shortens links using Bitly before inserting them into the document.
This option is available only if you have configured a Bitly Access Token in the Settings page.
The title is the text displayed in the document. The hyperlink itself determines where the link points.
AnyMerge Docs provides several ways to define the title.
Displays the URL itself as the link title.
If URL shortening is enabled, the shortened Bitly links will be displayed instead.
Use values from another spreadsheet column as the displayed link title.
For example, if your sheet contains columns Title and Link, and you want to display values from the Title column while the hyperlinks continue to point to the original URLs.
Title
John Steinbeck
Ernest Hemingway
If URL shortening is enabled, the shortened Bitly links will be used instead.

Use the same title for all generated links.
For example, if you specify the title Open the generated document will display that value for all links while each link still points to its corresponding URL.
This option is useful when you want a consistent call to action, such as:
